Ensio uses Kraaft as construction site monitoring software
On February 15, 2022, we went to meet Sylvain Leduc and Frank Lessieur, construction manager and site manager at Ensio. Kraafters for a few months, they tell us about their experience.

Ensio's challenges before using Kraaft
Ensio is the major French specialist in fiber networks. The agency in Argentan, a small town in Orne in Normandy, works mainly on telecom and gas networks. Connection renovations and fiber deployment on departmental and country roads. Projects in rural areas that have their own characteristics:”We often work in places, remote corners or houses under construction” explains Sylvain.
The challenge for the work center, which is not used to working for GRDF, is to offer innovative reporting and to stand out from the competition by the quality of monitoring. In this type of market, managing the large volume of interventions, ensuring good site preparation and transparent communication on the difficulties encountered are three essential elements of monitoring. But it mobilizes a lot of resources for small budget businesses...
Simplified work and centralized exchanges
For Frank, Kraaft has become a daily reflex on the construction site. The application is very easy to use and centralizes all its activities:
- photos: they are shared very simply with the customer or the construction manager (they are time-stamped and geo-located)
- voice notes: they are transcribed into writing automatically
- important documents such as DITCs: they are accessible in 1 click
- the location of construction sites: you can access them via a Google Maps or Waze integration
Separate actions that, together, save teams a lot of time. Before, Frank took photos of the interventions with his phone, and transferred them to the office computer in the evening to send them to Sylvain. Today, in 1 click, the photo is automatically stored on the company's SharePoint and GRDF can react directly to it.
Other approaches, which might seem simple, are becoming important on a construction site in rural areas, such as voice notes, which are automatically transcribed into writing by the application:”I use the voice note because in rainy weather or when it's cold it saves us time and it's much more practical” (Frank). Now everything is done in the moment.
“In the teams it was very well accepted, even by the old ones. The application is well made, simple and easy to access. You can do everything directly.” (Frank Lessieur, site manager at Ensio)

TS are negotiated instantly with customers (they are also on Kraaft)
“On each of the projects I assign access to customers. They can contact us directly on Kraaft. If we have a problem, they give us the solution in a fluid and fast way.” (Sylvain Leduc, construction manager at Ensio)
For Sylvain, Kraaft is also an opportunity to have a more transparent relationship with his client. On the application, for the same site, you can have two conversations: one internally for the teams, and one shared with the customer. But Ensio has chosen radical transparency. A construction site, a conversation. GRDF can react to a situation in real time. An essential gain of time and confidence in a new activity for the public works agency.
“Above all, Kraaft allows us to negotiate TS, additional work, directly. No need for email exchanges, but we still keep a paper trail!” (Sylvain Leduc, construction manager at Ensio)
A reflex that saves time every day
This increased trust also saves time, of course. For Sylvain, Kraaft saves him 1 hour per day, in the exchange of emails, calls and messages. Information is shared in real time.”By the guys from the shipyard”. Everything is more fluid. Today, for him”It is a tool that is in our functional DNA, so it would be very complicated to do without it.”.
“It's a huge time-saver, we've eliminated a lot of phone calls like “Where is the construction site?” For us, for our partners and for our subcontractors: it saves everyone time.” (Sylvain Leduc, construction manager at Ensio)
